Reiki is a “lineage system” of healing, which is passed down from Master to Master.

There are 3 primary degrees – Reiki 1, 2, and 3 (which take you through to practitioners level). Beyond this, there is Master Teachers training.

Reiki uses ancient symbols to raises a person’s vibrational level in their energy field, allowing them to channel universal life-force through the body.

There are 5 symbols taught through the levels, and each symbol functions as a key, to activate a specific frequency of energy.

The process of initiating a student into Reiki is called the “attunement process”.  An “attunement” activates the energy flow. 

With the 1st degree attunement, given in Reiki 1,  Reiki energy will flow through your hands and you will be able to give Reiki to yourself and to others.

Attunements are given at each of the levels, giving the student the ability to bring in, and hold a greater degree of life force energy for healing.

The attunements can only be given by a Reiki Master Teacher, whom has received the necessary teaching and attunements from another Reiki Master.

Each of the Reiki degrees must be completed in succession, before commencing the next. Each degree is at your own pace.


If you are embarking on your Reiki Journey for self healing and development, I recommend that you complete Reiki I and II as a minimum requirement for maximum benefit.
